World's first person to run a marathon race in under two hours was treated to a heroic reception at the Paris-Saint German Football Club (PSG).

The legendary Kenyan marathoner, Eliud Kipchoge, on Friday, October 29, attended the Parc des Princes match on an invitation as PSG was playing against Lille Olympique Sporting Club (OSC).

The club shared a video of him at the stadium before the match began. Kipchoge could be heard wishing his fans, together with the football fans around the globe, an excellent game.

“Hi everybody. I am happy to be here at PSG stadium. I am happy with the invitation. I wish all my fans, actually all the football fans to enjoy a good game,” Kipchoge stated.

The video was followed by a caption welcoming him to the Parc Des Princes matchday 12 in Ligue 1. Also, the club recognized him as a world record holder.

“Great to welcome Olympic winner and world record holder, Eliud Kipchoge, to the Parc Des Princes tonight!” PSG captioned.

In the photo, Kipchoge is seen alongside one of the best players in the world, Kylian Mbappé Lottin, right after the match ended. PSG took a 2-1 victory over Lille OSC.

Kipchoge was gifted with a PSG T-shirt number 7 branded with his name. He then gave a speech to the team, the football manager, and the coaching staff.

“A very inspiring night with PSG English and Nike at Parc des Princes in Paris. I cherish the relation with Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff. Warm and good people!” Kipchoge commented.

Kenyans weighed in with the excitement of seeing their own sharing a platform with one of football’s most outstanding teams.

“Continue shining Eliud, many don't see your success but it's already written on the wall,” one netizen stated.

However, some asked to see a photo of him and Lionel Messi, who departed from the Barcelona football club. Kipchoge inspires many individuals from Kenya to reach higher levels through his famous slogan - No human is limited.
