7 Men Beaten Up By Women For Taking Alcohol

Stories of women from different areas complaining about the overindulgence of alcohol by men in their communities have made headlines several times.

A group of women from Kabete, Kiambu county however took matter into their own hands and decided to 'discipline' seven men, creating a never-before-witnessed spectacle.

The women descended on the men- slapping, caning and whipping them for the apparent crime.

Two of the men were dragged from a wines and spirit shop where the attendant had locked them in while the rest were found drinking behind bars and shops.

Speaking to The Star, the irate women complained that many marriages in the area were breaking as the men are not able to sire children- an effect of the excessive alcohol consumption.

They said that most of the men from the area, starting from a young age, have made alcohol their favorite pastime instead of taking up their roles in the society.

They further pointed an accusing finger to the alcohol traders in Kabete accusing them of welcoming into their bars, men who wake up in the morning to go to the bars instead of going to work.

After the dramatic exercise, the women went to King’eero public cemetery where they conducted prayers for eight people they claim had died as a result of excessive alcohol consumption.
