Former NTV news anchor, Victor Kiprop, will be joining the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

Sources at the station told Kenyans.co.ke that Kiprop would be joining the media house after he bid farewell to his viewers on Thursday, November 4, on a live TV show.

It is yet to be established, however, when Kiprop will be starting his new job and in what capacity.

In the live show on Thursday, Kiprop appreciated NTV for believing in him to serve at the station for the last three years.

"I must say it feels like yesterday when I went on air and I have been here for the last 3 years, co-hosting Your World for the last 10 months. This has been a dream come true for me," he stated.

Following the announcement, his colleagues surprised him with a cake and appreciated him for being a good spot.

His colleague, Gladys Gachanja, also lauded him for the great collaborative efforts in making the show a success.

"We really celebrate you, we thank you for being such a sport, being such a great colleague even as we walk through the journey of Your World, in a few weeks you took up the mantle and made us proud.

"As I say go ye forth and conquer," Gachanja stated.

Kiprop graduated with a Degree in Bachelor of Commerce from Egerton University in 2015. He joined CNBC Africa as a business reporter trainee for five months in 2017.

Weeks later, he joined Nation Media Group's East African as a Business reporter before fully transitioning into a business reporter for NTV.
