Sirisia Parliamentary aspirant, Moses Nandalwe, has been sued by his estranged wife, Elizabeth Were, for allegedly abducting their two toddlers.
Were, a Journalist with a local newspaper asked the court to order Nandwale to avail the minors in court and also grant her custody orders over them.
She accused Nandalwe of abducting the two minors and throwing her out of the vehicle they were travelling in after he requested to see them.
The journalist, in her court documents seen by Kenyans.co.ke, stated that her estranged husband took her phone and posted pictures with the kids on her social media pretending she had given him custody of the two minors.
She further accused the parliamentary aspirant of physically and mentally abusing her and told the court that she feared for her life and those of the minors.
"The respondent has been physically, mentally and emotionally abusing the applicant during and after their relationship of more than 5 years where the minors herein have shared in this unfortunate association.
"This abusive behaviour of the respondent has morphed into a situation where the applicant fears for her life and those of her kids," she stated through her lawyer, Danstan Omari.
But Nandalwe, who spoke to Kenyans.co.ke refuted the claims by his estranged wife stating that the two were not divorced and he did not throw her out of a moving vehicle.
He maintained that on the said day, he asked Were for the kids since he had jetted back into the country and he wanted to see the kids before leaving Nairobi.
The MP hopeful stated that Were came with the children and when he learnt they were living in a bedsitter, he decided to take them to his palatial home.
"I am a wealthy man and my children cannot live in such conditions while I'm alive. I took them because I can provide a better life for them. She was living with them in a bedsitter which she shares with her sister," Nandalwe stated.
He also claims that Were was being used by his political opponents. He also denied stealing her mobile phone and posting pictures with the minors on Were's Facebook account.
"I was planning my mother's memorial and I wanted to go with the children and we agreed she would give me the children to attend the memorial since they never came for the burial."
"I did not post the alleged Facebook post and neither did I steal her phone or throw her out of a moving vehicle," he added.
