In a statement by her manager shared to Kenyans.co.ke on Sunday, December 12, Manjeru's manager noted that the singing sensation made it to the list of the top 100 child prodigies under the Global Child Prodigy Awards 2022.

Shanah was selected from thousands of applications received from 68 countries around the globe.

The young singer was also invited to the award ceremony slated for the last week of February 2022.

The ceremony will host the GCPA winners from around the world who will be honoured with the prestigious award by some of the most prominent global personalities.

“You are truly an inspiration for millions of kids who have the fire, the zeal, the diligence and the talent that can make them change the world, if guided rightly and offered the right platform.

“The entire Global Child Prodigy Awards team admires your exemplary energy and the passion to impact the world in a unique way," the GCPA communique added.

The award comes slightly more than a week after the rising star was featured on Top 100 Kenyans 2021, a coveted recognition list by Kenyans.co.ke to celebrate outstanding Kenyans who inspired, touched and transformed the lives of many.

At just 13, Shanah was the youngest to be featured on the list.

Prior to her achievement, the actor and TV host had also won the Best African Female Artiste in Inspirational Music during the Afrima Awards, flooring seasoned singers on the continent.

During the awards, Manjeru proved that she can out-sing the best of them after beating talented voices such as Ada Ehi (Nigeria), Afrie (Uganda), Eden (Ivory Coast), Kamo Mphela (South Africa), Montess (Cameroon), Nata (Sierra Leone), Noel Nderitu (Kenya), Ruth Asong (Cameroon), Diana Hamilton (Ghana), and Kelly Khumalo (South Africa).
