Edmond Nyabola, one of NTV's highest-ranking news anchors, has called it quits from the Kimathi Street-based media house.

The journalist left the media house on Wednesday, December 29, after serving for three years since being recalled in 2019.

The media personality, however, remained tight-lipped on his departure or whether he was destined for a different media outlet.

While announcing his departure, Nyabola posted a photo of himself cutting a cake while in the station's newsroom and captioned it 'Thank you I for three great years.'

Armed with a a degree in communications from the University of Nairobi, Nyabola has been serving as a News Anchor at NTV since 2019.

He first joined NTV in 2013 and served as a Sports anchor for three years before moving to China-owned CGTN in 2018.

When he left, he served as a freelance translator for a while before returning to the Kimathi Street-based National Broadcaster.

While at NTV, Nyabola did some hard-hitting investigative stories such as Sins of Saviours exposing mistreatment of children at a state corporation charged with the responsibility of taking care of vulnerable kids in the country.

In March 2021, Nyabola and his colleague Emmanuel Juma were sparred jail term High Court Judge Msagha Mbogholi suspended an earlier order issued by Senior Resident Magistrate D.O Mbeja on the two for contempt of court.

The suit was filed by the CWSK over the exposé.
