Constitutional lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi, on January 18, openly stated that he does not support Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking during an interview with Spice FM, Ahmednasir, commonly referred to as Grand Mullah was quick to interject the show host, Eric Latiff, who introduced him as a supporter of the DP.
Ahmednasir was adamant that he neither supported Ruto nor the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
"Senior council Ahmednasir is right there, front and centre in support of UDA candidate, William Ruto," Latiff stated.
"That is a very serious statement. I have never declared that I support the DP. I have not made up my mind, that is a fact," the Senior Counsel interjected.
Nonetheless, the Chairman of the Senior Counsel Committee admitted that he was impressed by what the country's second-in-command was presenting to Kenyans.
Speaking on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader, Raila Odinga, the flamboyant lawyer stated that he was certain about not subscribing to either.
His declaration was met with a rebait from Mohamed Wehliye, the Senior Advisor, Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority.
"Guys, let you not be fooled by the semantics. Ahmed supports UDA, Ahmed supports the Deputy President, Ahmed supports what they stand for," he remarked.
Wehliye claimed that Ahmednasir was a great sympathizer of UDA based on his social media posts and engagements.
He noted that the lawyer's declaration was nothing shy of utter disrespect to his huge fan base, spanning over 1 million Kenyans.
