Media personality Stella Katiwa, popularly known as Miss Katiwa, has resigned from Nation Media Group (NMG) where she has worked for the last four years.

In a statement on Monday, January 31, the sassy lady, who hosted a show dubbed Jamdown on NTV, thanked her co-hosts, producers and viewers for the support they had given her over the years.

She also expressed gratitude to NTV and its top brass for giving her a platform to not only grow but also learn while earning an income.

"Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who played a major role in my path and my career. Kriss Darlin you've been a blessing, Mercy Maroma and Justus Tharao thank you for believing in me and trusting me with the show, you are such a blessing and one of my favourite bosses so far.

"Four years ago I got an opportunity to join NTV to host a show dubbed Jamrock, two years later it gave birth to Jamdown, and yesterday was my last show. Everything that has a beginning has an end too," she stated.

While Katiwa did not reveal her next move after leaving NTV, she noted that working at the Kimathi Street-based broadcaster has been an amazing journey, adding that she came in with zero knowledge but left with a lot of energy, which would help her through her next career phase.

Notably, she is also a presenter on Homeboyz Radio, where she hosts the late-night show alongside Demakufu and Wilson Muirani alias Jaymo Ule Msee.

NTV has already announced the vacancy for the position and has asked those interested to send a video application before February 3, 2022.

Katiwa is the latest media personality to resign. On Saturday, January 29, KTN presenter Jamal Gaddafi resigned from Standard Group where he has worked for the past eight years to contest for the Malindi parliamentary seat.

In a statement, Gaddafi, who hosted a show dubbed Mzuqa TV on KTN, thanked his fans for supporting him through the years.

"It's time for a new adventure. Yesterday was my last show at KTN as I start a new chapter of my life in politics," he wrote.
