An article doing rounds on social media alleging that Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has responded to the speech made by Kenya's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Martin Kimani at the UN Security Council is fake!
The doctored article purports that Putin responded to both Kenya and Kimani who condemned Russia's plans to invade Ukraine.

In addition, the publication claimed that Putin had likened the remarks by Ambassador Kimani to that of a young boy trying to shake a baobab tree but only ends up shaking himself.
Putin, on Thursday, February 24, officially declared that he would be launching a military operation in Ukraine. In his fiery speech, he also revealed plans to demilitarise Ukraine in the special operation.
The Russian leader noted that Moscow would take "instant" action in response if anyone tried to stop them, without mentioning any country in particular, not even Kenya.
The only communication from Kenya concerning the two countries at war was issued by Ukraine's Embassy in Kenya.
Addressing the media on Thursday, Ukraine's Ambassador to Kenya, Andrii Pravednyk, noted that at the moment, only the entire world can stop Russia from invading their territories.
He called on Kenyans and the wider global community to join forces in condemning the invasion to prevent escalation of the conflict initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"The combat spirit of the Ukrainian military is high, our defenders are ready to give a decisive response to the aggressor state and will protect the Ukrainian soil with all their strength.
"We urge the international community to condemn Russia’s invasion and stand with Ukraine," Pravednyk pleaded.
