President Uhuru Kenyatta's ruling Jubilee Party made a major announcement during its National Delegates Convention (NDC) on Saturday, February 26.

The Jubilee NDC started the process to expel rebel party leaders and members including Deputy President William Ruto, Governors, Members of Parliament and Members of the County Assembly who continue defying its principles.

13:47: Wiper Party leaders noted that this was not the time for blaming others or name-calling rather it was an opportunity to negotiate and build a coalition. He proposes Uhuru takes leadership of that coalition.

13:28: Narc Party leader thanks President Kenyatta for bringing the country together and especially rallying leaders from different political outfits to work together.

13:17: Uhuru thanks Raphael Tuju, who's been Jubilee's Secretary-General. He acknowledges that Tuju will be seeking a political seat in Nyanza and urges Raila to hold his hand. "Baba this is our person from Jubilee help him, please. Joho I am giving you that job. Take care of my person," he states.

13:13: “Uncontrolled ambition is like an unguided missile that can destroy the country… but your personal ambition shall not supersede the interests of 50 million Kenyans.” President Kenyatta states at Jubilee NDC.

13:10: President Kenyatta declares he did not chase anyone out of the Jubilee Party and that for anyone who left, it was out of greed.

13:03: "Some are saying that from 2018, Raila Odinga and Kalonzo got into government and destroyed government plans. That is what they are saying. I want to ask them, it's true we made peace and Baba brought his allies. I want to ask you is there any government seat that Raila got or took from the people who were in Jubilee?" he poses.

13:02: The President calls out his critics and Jubile Party defectors and recalls that he has on numerous occasions pleaded with his deputy William Ruto but they refused to listen to his plea. He adds that his critics left the Jubilee Party at their own will and he did not chase them.

13:00: President Kenyatta recalls his Sagana speech stating that he was busy working for the Kenyan people and now he was ready to politic. "Some thought that because we were working, we were done but we were quiet because the citizens wanted us to achieve our development agenda. Today we are awake," he stated.

12:36: Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni replaces Raphael Tuju as the Jubilee Party Secretary-General.

12:35: Jubilee Party adopts a Dove as the symbol of the party, and its slogan as Mbele Pamoja.

12:34: The Jubilee NDC ratifies President Uhuru Kenyatta as party leader for the next 5 years and announces Jimmy Agwenyi, Kinoti Gitobu, Naomi Shaban and Peter Mositet as Deputy Party Leaders.

12:30: Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka arrives at the # Jubilee Party NDC accompanied by his party delegates.
