Media personality and actor, Pascal Tokodi on Sunday, March 27, surprised his wife Grace Ekirapa on NTV during a live show.
In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Tokodi made a rare but special appearance at the NTV studios during the popular Crossover show.
In a plan hatched by the actor, co-host Susan Grace and disk jockey (DJ) Son of Nations, they told Ekirapa that a top fan who had been following her throughout her career wanted to meet her on TV.
"There is someone who has been following you all through and thinks you are an inspiration to him. He is your huge fan and insisted that he wanted to come to the studio to see you in real life," Susan stated.
At first, Grace thought it was a prank until they revealed a video of the surprise guest making his way through the Twin Towers, concealing his face.
The unsuspecting host was drawn to the edge of her seat as she wondered who this 'fan' was, imploring her co-hosts to at least reveal the face of her number one fan.
"You people are not serious. Who is that? My heart is beating like it wants to come out," she remarked.
However, Susan and the DJ kept her guessing, insisting that the fan was aware that Ekirapa would be taking a break from TV. They also joked that they had an ambulance on standby in case something went wrong.
After a short while, Tokodi , popularly known as Nelson, walked into the studio, holding a bouquet of flowers before breaking into a short happy dance as he bequeathed her the roses. Overwhelmed, the Grace broke into tears as they embraced each other on set.
Amid the tears, she took note of the shoes, which were not the kind that Tokodi would wear. Her co-host explained that it was part of the plan to conceal his identity since she knew his style.
"You know grace. someone told us that if Pascal wore his shoes, you would have easily identified him, that is why we chose that particular kind of shoes, "Susan revealed.
Grace and Pascal are expecting a child soon, explaining why she will be taking a break from TV. Her colleagues congratulated them and wished her the very best.
