Amani National Congress party leader MUsalia Mudavadi has hailed National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi's decision to Kenya Kwanza as a sign of their coalition having undisputed popularity.

Speaking on Monday, April 11, Mudavadi stated that Muturi was a dear and long-serving friend to Uhuru and that the speaker's decision must have taken the President by a painful surprise.

The ANC party leader opined that only those bound by state and military laws are standing by the President and joked that Uhuru should not be surprised if they also abandon him.

"Let me tell you, Speaker Justin Muturi has been Uhuru's closest friend for a long time. But now when he looks back, he is shocked that Muturi is no longer with him since he has joined Kenya Kwanza," Mudavadi remarked.

Mudavadi told Uhuru that he was the only one left in government as the three arms of government: the Judiciary, legislature and executive were no longer under his control. He noted that the Judiciary was independent and the other two arms were been divided.

"We all know that government constitutes three arms. The Judiciary can not vote but they decided that they cannot be micromanaged. Both speakers have decided that they shall not be manipulated and the executive has been split into two.

The former Vice President told the Head of State that he had nobody behind him save for his Aide De Camp, who was only there because his military uniform dictated so.

"The only person left behind the president is the ADC, who is only there because of military duties. However, politically, one day Uhuru will wake up and find that even his bodyguard has deserted him because everybody is moving to Kenya Kwanza," Mudavadi chided.

Muturi, who had declared that he would be contesting for the country's top seat in the August 9 General Election, shelved his bid in support of Ruto on Saturday. The Democratic Party leader now joins Kenya Kwanza as a principal.

Jubilee Party, through its Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni, broke its silence over what has been deemed as a great betrayal to President Kenyatta. Kioni called the Speaker ungrateful for deciding to dine with the president's political foes.

"Justin Muturi has finally gone to the same table with the person who has betrayed Uhuru Kenyatta and Muturi has been made by the President. He was allowed to be the speaker of National Assembly for two terms,"

"A person who believes in himself, one who is genuine with Kenyans will quickly tender his resignation. We do not have the time to impeach him, but if we had the time, we would have," Kioni stated.
