National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has slammed President Uhuru Kenyatta's emotional rant against his Deputy William Ruto noting that it was too late.

Speaking in a rally held at Kapsabet, Nandi County on Sunday, May 1, the speaker argued that the Head of State should not be complaining over the DP when he alienated his own allies.

He further argued that the ruling Jubilee Party had a total of 170 lawmakers in Parliament and keeping the united front laid squarely on him.

He added that the President needed to keep consulting the lawmakers to ensure that his Big 4 Agenda is achieved.

"When the gods want to finish you, they first make you mad, they make you crazy. I think there is madness because if you were elected on one ticket, the best you can do is to tap into the various talents.

"The Jubilee Party in 2017 got so many seats, more than 170. What you needed to do is to constantly meet these people, consult them and solve the problems. But you don't throw them away and expect that things are going to solve themselves. I think it is late for people to start complaining now," he explained.

His sentiments were echoed by Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi who took issue with the Head of State's attack on his deputy.

Mudavidi claimed that Uhuru's time was up and that he could not get much done in the remaining 100 days in the house at the hill.

"Let's not lie to each other. The truth is, the President should tell us the last time he convened the full cabinet of Kenya

"If you have not solved the problems of Kenya, you are not going to solve them in the next less than 100 days. You just take it easy and know that you have done what you were going to do," stated Mudavadi.

In his Labour Day speech, Uhuru blamed the DP claiming that he absconded his duty and was not available to offer support.

He also argued that the DP laid the blame for Jubilee Party failures on the President claiming that he had been axed from his duties and was just a placeholder.

In a rejoinder, the DP claimed that the failures were brought about by the handshake as well as a new inner circle that emerged after the fallout between the duo.
