Super Metro, on Monday, August 1, announced new routes during rush hours in a bid to stamp its growing dominance and better service delivery.

In a statement, the Sacco noted that their buses would ply from Ngong to Westlands and Malaa to Westlands.

The changes would be effected beginning Monday from 6-8 am and from 4 pm to 7 pm.

"Starting today, during rush hours (6:00 am-8:00 am and 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm) Ngong to Westlands ( to and fro) and Malaa to Westlands (to and fro). Thank you for your continued support," Super Metro's management stated.

Further, the Sacco had unveiled a new fleet that would serve Juja Farm residents heading to the Central Business District (Nairobi) every day beginning 5:00 am.

On the other hand, Lopha travel Sacco announced an extension of their routes from Odeon (Nairobi) to Juja Farm.

"Lopha Travel would like to inform our esteemed customers that we will ferry you from Nairobi (Odeon) to Juja farm and also from Juja farm to Nairobi (Odeon). We want to give you a service with a difference," read part of the statement.

Super Metro is often acclaimed for its service delivery, essentially creating a niche for customers to delight in. A spot check every evening at Kenya National Archives captures long queues as passengers jostle to board its buses.

At the helm of the Sacco is Nelson Mwangi who prides himself in setting the pace for other Saccos to follow suit in the transport industry.

"Most drivers feel super metro is a school because of the rules and regulations. Drivers and conductors make an application, they bring all requirements and we set a date for an interview.

"We don't just handpick them. They must have all the requirements," Mwangi previously spoke to Kenyans.co.ke.

He also entailed that a disciplinary committee is in place to deal with drivers and conductors from their Sacco who were caught up in disciplinary issues.

"Maybe a conductor has overcharged, been rude to a customer, ferrying excess passengers or when a driver has been found overlapping, driving under the influence etc, we take action against all that.

"We believe in giving the best customer services," he added.
