A well-known Matatu Sacco has announced free rides for its passengers on various routes. The Sacco, Super Metro, announced through its official Twitter handle that it would offer free rides starting next week as a way of appreciating its customers.

The appreciation follows the Sacco's launch of 50 new buses that have been acquired through different models of financing.

"As a way of appreciating the love and support, starting next week, expect the free ride on all our routes," read part of the company's statement.

The Sacco's vehicles currently ply the Kikuyu Route 105, Thika Road, Juja 236 to Makongeni 237, and the Ngong to Nairobi CBD Route 111.

The Sacco has been hailed by many of its users as friendly, with most of them praising its customer service.

The Sacco expanded its fleet on Thursday, November 4, adding an extra 50 new buses.

"To our staff members, drivers, and conductors, it is our humble prayer that God guides you in all you do as you interact with our esteemed clients serving them with dignity and respect. We thank you and may God bless the work of your hands," wrote the Sacco's management.

Apart from customers appreciating the Sacco for its exemplary services, different road authorities have also applauded it for the good management and operations.

"They are among the best-managed SACCOs in Nairobi. Always well maintained mechanically. They are orderly and they are clean," Road Alerts stated.

The free rides come barely a month after similar offers by the same Sacco.

On Thursday, October 7, Super Metro announced free rides with the management noting that the rides would be offered starting 4pm from Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD) to the outskirts of Juja and Kikuyu.

"Thank you for your unconditional support. We are more than grateful for having the opportunity to serve you our loyal clients each day. We value you all," read an excerpt of the company's statement at the time.

The free rides were in line with the Customer Service Week.
