Nairobi residents have witnessed several high-end cars on major roads within the country's capital.

Car enthusiasts have equally taken to social media to marvel at some of the rare cars that cost over Ksh40 million.

Kenyans.co.ke takes a look at some of the luxurious vehicles filmed in Nairobi.

Bentley Mulsanne

A Bently Mulsanne was spotted along Waiyaki way, Westlands.

The brand new car is estimated to range between Ksh36 million to Ksh50 million. Production of the multi-million car started in 2020 and has a horsepower of 505.

The vehicle can contain a speed of 290 kilometres per hour and weighs 2,650 kg.

"The extended wheelbase provides the limousine-like qualities that are so important in this class. Bentley's sheer variety of paint colours and interior options offer endless combinations that should prevent the Mulsanne from having a twin," read a review by Car and Driver.

Bently Bentayga

Another Bently car that has caught the attention of Kenyans is the Bently Bentayga. The car is estimated to retail from Ksh20 million in the country with its production dating back to 2015.

The vehicle has remained for the elite over the years with potential buyers having the option of having the vehicles custom-made to their own preference.

Models produced include Bentayga speed, Bentayga and  Bentatyga Azure.

"No other SUV can compete with the Bentayga when it comes to craftsmanship, comfort or sheer exhilaration. Available with a 4.0 litre V8 petrol engine, a 6.0 litre W12 petrol engine or a 3.0 litre hybrid, it is a luxury SUV without comparison.

"Offering extreme performance with no compromise on comfort or practicality, the Bentayga is built for every road – and for places with no roads at all," Bentley stated on their website.

Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS

The vehicle is estimated to retail at Ksh18 million and is famed for its streamlined shape which also helps the vehicle in attaining speed during accelerations.

The 911 edition car is a sports car as the car can attain a maximum speed of 307 kilometres per hour.

"The 911's twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre flat-6 produces 473 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque between 2,300 and 5,000 rpm," a review from Cnet read in part.

Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet

Another Porche 911 car spotted in Kenya in recent weeks is the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. The sports car is estimated to cost Ksh16 million and can attain a speed of Ksh306 kilometres per hour.

The shape of the 911 Carrera is unmistakable because of its iconic fly line and elegant roof lines. These have characterised Porsche since 1963, as have sports cars with astonishing performance.

The vehicle is a powerful twin-turbo six-cylinder horizontally opposed engine in the rear and has a high-precision Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission," Porsche stated in its review.

2021 Mercedes-Benz S500 W223

Over the years, Merceded Ben has been considered a high-end car. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz S500 W223 retails for Ksh13 million.

The car is over 5 meters long and 195.4 cm wide and can attain a maximum speed of 250 kilometres per hour.
