The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman, Wafula Chebukati, released the second set of verified results of the presidential election held on Tuesday, August 9.

Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya on Friday, August 12, Chebukati added noted that the commission will keep updating Kenyans as it verifies the results.

The commission chair noted that the results announced at the polling stations would be final.

In Ndia constituency, Kirinyaga county, Azimio la Umoja candidate Raila Odinga garnered 6,872 votes, while Kenya Kwanza's William Ruto got 41,293 votes out of the total 48,548 valid votes cast. 

Agano Party's David Mwaure garnered 151 votes while Roots Party's George Wajackoyah got 232 votes. The IEBC chairman revealed that 46 ballots were rejected in the constituency.

In Gatundu South constituency, out of 54,536 total votes cast, Raila garnered 12,290 votes while Ruto got 41,712 votes. Wajackoyah and Mwaure got 311 and 223 votes respectively. The constituency, which registered a total of 79,860 voters, had a total of 475 votes rejected. 

In Yata constituency, Machakos county, Raila got 38,225 votes, followed by Ruto with 10,391, Mwaure got 121 votes and Wajackoyah 325 votes. 

This is out of 49,062 valid votes cast, where only 402 votes were rejected. 

In Ainabkoi constituency, Uasin Gishu county, a total of 44,102 valid votes were cast, with 265 getting rejected. Raila got 8,620 votes, Ruto got 35,401. Mwaure got 51 and Wajackoyah garnered 90 votes. 

In Moiben constituency, Uasin Gishu county, the former premier garnered 6,772 votes while Ruto got 49,625 votes. Wajackoyah and Mwaure had 51 and 54 votes respectively. Out of 56,502 total votes cast, 345 were rejected. 

In Nandi Hills, Nandi county, Raila got 3,471 votes, while the Deputy President received 38,308 votes, Mwaure got 40 votes and Wajackoyah garnered 45 votes. This is out of 41,864 total votes cast where 229 were rejected. 

In Kaiti constituency, Makueni county, the DP got 7,659 votes while Azimio's Raila got 33,617 votes, Wajackoyah garnered 272 votes while Mwaure got 95. This is out of 41,643 total votes cast where 228 were rejected. 

In Webuye East constituency, Raila garnered 13,720 votes while UDA's William Ruto got 16,412 votes (53.8 per cent) of the 30,491 valid votes cast.

Wajackoyah got 249 votes (0.81 per cent) while his Agano Party counterpart Mwaure, got 110 votes (0.36 per cent). Chebukati revealed that 384 cast ballots(1.25 per cent) were rejected in the constituency. 

In Kipkelion East Constituency, Raila garnered 31,655 votes while UDA's William Ruto got 11,508 votes of the 43,817 valid votes cast.

Wajackoyah got 424 votes while his Agano Party counterpart Mwaure, got 230 votes. Chebukati revealed that 282 cast ballots were rejected in the constituency.

In Funyula Constituency, Raila garnered Raila 29,827 votes while Ruto got 7,163 votes. Mwaure on the other hand got 83 votes while Wajackoya got 240 votes. It was revealed that 359 votes were rejected.

In Khwisero Constituency, Raila got 27,997 votes while Ruto came in second with 5,205 votes. Mwaure got 76 votes with Wajackoyah garnered 245 votes. 451 votes were rejected.
