Homa Bay county gubernatorial candidate Evans Kidero on Friday, August 12, clashed with Citizen TV journalist Laura Otieno during an interview.

In footage seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Kidero lost his cool and eventually walked out accusing Otieno of being biased.

He questioned whether the journalist was exhausted as she reportedly interviewed him haphazardly.

"You know, you are interviewing us like your heart is not here. Why are you doing it in the first place?" Kidero, who lost the Homa Bay gubernatorial election to ODM's Gladys Wanga posed.

The journalist appear to respond to the former Nairobi county boss but he turned down her explanation, which was not captured as the microphone was directed towards the former Nairobi governor.

"No, I do not like your attitude. I do not want you to interview me," Kidero remarked before walking away.

The altercation happened during a press conference in which he responded to the outcome of the Homa Bay gubernatorial race.

Kidero, who faced it off with the outgoing woman representative Gladys Wanga, garnered 154,182 votes, as compared to Wanga's  244,559 votes.

However, he alleged that the results were doctored in favour of Wanga, threatening to seek legal redress on the matter.

"Some presiding and returning officers denied our agents access in some polling stations.

"As my lawyer has stated, this would be addressed in the appropriate forums starting from today," Kidero remarked.

Meanwhile, Wanga jetted back to Nairobi on Saturday, August 13 where she joined other elected leaders under the Azimio La Umoja coalition at a conference held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
