Felix Odiwour, popularly known as Jalang'o, has claimed that two of his former employees accused of theft are pleading to have their jobs back.
The Langata MP-elect alleged that the two stole millions from his car before fleeing on Saturday, June 4.
On Friday, August 19, Jalang'o, in an interview on a vlog, disclosed text messages sent by the duo who lamented that they were grappling with making ends meets.
The two also reminisced on the good times they shared with the popular emcee and former Kiss FM presnter before apologising for their wrong doing.
"Hello, I am sorry for my mistake, I was tricked into stealing from you despite how instrumental you have been in the past. Help me, I am suffering in Bungoma," one text message claimed.
Speaking on the vlog, the politician was disappointed by the betrayal. He stated that the money was stolen when he desperately needed to fund his campaigns.
After deliberation with some of the crew members, Jalang'o agreed to reinstate the two. However, he noted that the trust was broken and their relationship was in shambles.
"While working for me, you become part of my family. I always want the best for those around me. If you guys as content advisors say I should rehire them, it will be done," he stated.
After the two allegedly stole the money, Jalang'o promised a Ksh100,000 reward for any information that may have led to their arrest.
"They stole money from the car they were washing at home, their phones are off and they are running with their families. If you see them, please contact me or report at the nearest police station," he lamented.
In addition, Jalang'o stated that he will focus on serving the people of Lang'ata after trouncing incumbent, Nixon Korir.
The emcee asserted that he will take a break from the media but would be open to market and advertise products.
