Senior Counsel Zehrabanu Janmohamed is among the lawyers appearing at the Supreme Court, representing John Njoroge, a petitioner in the case challenging William Ruto's win in the 2022 presidential election.

She argued at the apex court on Wednesday, August 31, where she maintained that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson Wafula Chebukati should be barred from conducting any further elections.

"We have requested that the chairperson be prohibited from conducting any further elections in view of his behaviour and or holding any public office in Kenya in breach of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya," she argued.

Janmohamed, also known as Jackie, made history in 2012 following her appointment as the chair of Cricket Kenya. The appointment made her the first woman to head a national cricket body.
