Minutes after losing his white-collar job, Charles Kamau did not envision that a referral from his wife would birth his dream of launching a driving school at Washington state in the United States.

However, his story embodies a tale of sheer hard work and endless pursuit of one's dreams to achieve success.

Thinking of options to make ends meet, a referral from his wife who was seeking a driver instructor led him to discover a market niche in Washington state.

Kamau noted that the fortuitous meeting with his wife's friend birthed the dream of Blessed Driving School.

"In 2017, my wife was expectant with our firstborn. So she went to a salon to get her hair done and one of the attendants was seeking assistance to learn how to drive. My wife bragged to her that I was the best driver around and could assist her. This was the beginning of the dream.

"At the time, we were at a low moment in our lives as I had just lost my job. Fortunately, God opened a way and I found a means to make it work. It began with door-to-door visits raising awareness and linking up with my clients," he stated.

Kamau noted that he had transitioned from a door-to-door policy to a physical office located in Washington state.

During the launch, he noted that the business venture would impact the youth to shape their driving skills and ensure safety along the roads.

"I was looking for a way to cater to the community and in a particular instance, the opportunity presented itself. It has been my passion to begin a driving school so I'm grateful for the opportunity."

" The youth turn 16 every single day and hence there is a need for a driving school that will equip them with the requisite skills needed to learn how to drive. That's where we come in," he added.

The venture was also lauded by the deputy mayor at Federal Way, Susan Honda who noted that the business signifies the myriad of opportunities within the state.

"Blessed driving school has a special place in Washington state because driving is a huge responsibility. I hope the business is successful," she noted.
