Uganda's president, Yoweri Museveni led a delegation of 20 other heads of state in celebrating William Ruto's inauguration as Kenya's fifth president at Kasarani Stadium.
Museveni arrived in Kenya, nearly an hour after departing Uganda on Tuesday morning, September 13.
"I have this morning departed for Nairobi, Kenya to witness the inauguration of H.E William Ruto as the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya," Museveni who has been Uganda's president for 36 years stated.
A day before, a number of presidents arrived in Kenya and were escorted to high-end hotels where they were booked in.
According to the Assumption of Office Committee, the heads of state and 2500 other VIPs were to be seated by 9 am, an hour before William Ruto arrives.

Uhuru Kenyatta- President of Kenya
Outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta will attend William Ruto’s Presidential inauguration. Kenyatta who met with Ruto at State House on Monday, September 12, affirmed that he will honour his constitutional mandate of handing over power.
“As a hallmark of our democracy, I will tomorrow, before God and my fellow countrymen, hand over the instruments of power to our new President at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani. With that, the Fourth Administration will come to an end and the tenure of the Fifth Administration will begin,” Uhuru stated
Felix Tshisekedi - DRC
Felix Tshisekedi met President-elect William Ruto at his Karen office on Monday, September 12. Kenya has recently intensified its relations with the Democratic Republic of Congo, the latest entrant in the East African Community (EAC).
The two countries signed bilateral agreements in April this year, including promoting increased agricultural productivity, encouraging joint investment ventures between respective private entrepreneurs as well as boosting mutually beneficial trade.
Filipe Nyusi-Mozambique
Mozambique's president held a brief with Ruto, agreeing to expand and diversify exports to the South African nation
“Kenya values the ties it enjoys with Mozambique and commits to further this cooperation to expand and diversify her basket of export products to the Southern African nation,”
Paul Kagame-Rwanda
After holding talks with the President of Rwanda at his Karen Office in Nairobi, William Ruto reiterated that Kenya and Rwanda have a long-established relationship based on mutual interests and long-standing partnerships on economic and security issues.
He further said that Kenya will seek to build and expand its cooperation for the mutual benefit of the citizens of the two countries.

Brahim Ghali- Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic
