Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's office is seeking helicopter and fixed airwing services in the latest tender notice.

In a notice published on Tuesday, September 27, the office of the Deputy President called on interested Kenyans to submit their bids.

Also announced in the notice was the provision of air tickets and tent services.

"The government through the Office of the Deputy President invites tenders for the following; provision of air charter services (helicopter), provision of air charter services (fixed airwing) and provision of air ticketing services."

Interested bidders will have to part with Ksh200,000 for the tendering of helicopter and fixed airwing services.

Tendering for air ticketing will be charged at Ksh100,000.

"Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the Procurement Office Harambee House Annex 1" Floor, in person or against a written application.

"A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh1,000 per set/tender in Cash at the Cash Office situated at 1st floor, Harambee House Annex, Harambee Avenue or in banker's cheque payable to the Secretary Administration, Office of the Deputy President OR download the document for free from the website," read the notice in part.

ODP set October 11 at 10 am as the deadline for interested service providers to place their bids.

Gachagua's office also called on interested bidders to visit its website for more information on the tenders announced.

The DP assumed his role as the second in command on September 13 following his inauguration alongside his boss President William Ruto.

Consequently, he moved into his Harambee House Annex office on September 19.
