An eight-year-old boy from Kariandusi, Nakuru county died after a school bus ran him over.
Tragic incident took place on Tuesday early morning near Gilgil.
The Standard three boy succumbed to serious injuries sustained on the head and right shoulder.
Speaking to Citizen News, mother to the deceased- Winnie Wambui said the driver of the bus that killed her son sped off and refused to stop even after members of the public notified him of the accident.
She identified the bus as one that belongs to Pema Victorious Academy.
The bus had allegedly been picking students to take them to school when the 6 am tragedy occurred.
The incident comes barely three weeks after another child from Nairobi's Nyayo estate was run over and killed by the very school bus that had taken him home.
