Moroccan Embassy in Nairobi responded to an 11-year-old student who lauded the country for helping President William Ruto's government.
Jayden Dixon Kaburu addressed the letter to King Mohammed VI, thanking him for offering fertilisers to Kenya.
The embassy welcomed the letter, noting that the student exercised diplomacy on behalf of Ruto's government.
"We salute the courage of the young Jayden’s parents. Through their perseverance, devotion and sacrifice, they instilled in Jayden the noble values of recognition, sharing and love," the Embassy stated.
In his letter, the 5th-grade pupil from Karatina, Central Kenya, stated that the high cost of living forced him to take up menial jobs to help the family make ends meet.
Shortage of fertiliser also affected the country's food basket taking a toll on the people's livelihoods.
Expressing gratitude to the Moroccan people, Kaburu prayed for the diplomatic ties between the two countries to deepen.
"After learning of your intended help to our new president and people of Kenya with fertiliser which has been a thorn in our parents' flesh. Most of us have been working after school to contribute and lend a helping hand towards putting a meal on the table and school fees for elder siblings," his letter read in part.
"Mine is to thank your countrymen and King for that noble deed. Please, it is my prayer you maintain it for the rest of our lifetime," he added.
His message came after the Moroccan King congratulated Ruto following his election after the Tuesday, August 9 polls and validation of his win by the Supreme Court of Kenya.
The King welcomed the promise made by Ruto to strengthen and deepen the current bilateral relations between his country and various states in Africa and elsewhere.
On his part, Ruto hailed the Moroccan King for spearheading diplomatic relations in the Maghreb region.
"We are accelerating relations with the Kingdom of Morocco in areas of trade, agriculture, health, tourism, energy, among others, for the mutual benefit of our countries," Ruto noted.
