The lawmaker revealed that he began visiting schools in his home constituency and would move to other schools across all 47 counties. His aim - empowering the students to excel.

"The main aim is to motivate the candidates to pass the examinations because if I, a child in Nyalenda slum could make it, then they can do it too," the lawmaker stated.

In addition, he stated that he would be offering revision lessons across all subjects stating that most households cannot afford to pay for remedial tuition classes.

During his first lesson, he guided his audience through the revision of a set of questions touching on topics which been tested frequently in past exams.

"I took several  past KCPE and KCSE examination papers and looked at the commonly set questions per topic which we shall discuss on a weekly basis," he stated

KSCE candidates will also have a number of lessons ahead of the month-long examination period beginning November 2.

The legislator disclosed that in 2023, he will expand his training to cover students under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

With the gradual phasing out of the 8-4-4 system, the group sitting KCPE this year will be the last to sit the national paper.
