Prominent political analyst Dr Edward Kisiang'ani was nominated as the Principal Secretary in the State Department for Broadcasting and Telecommunications awaiting approval by the National Assembly.
Prof Kisiang'ani is not new to most Kenyans. In the run up to the August elections, he was vocal and preached the hustler Gospel. He hopped from TV channel to channel, viciously defending the candidature of William Ruto.
But the good professor made a name for himself when he was a resident analyst on Citizen TV, where he was hosted by Anne Kiguta.
When the TV anchor moved to K24, she moved with Prof Kisiang'ani who regularly featured on The Punchline.

Professional Background
He's a well-read individual with a rich educational background as illustrated below:

ii) Master's Degree (1990-1995).
Master of Arts Degree Awarded at Kenyatta University in 1995. Topic, A Comparative Analysis of the Mau Mau Movement in Kenya and the Black Panther Organization in the United States of America, 1948-1970
Dr Kisiang'ani a lecturer at Kenyatta University teaching History and Political Studies under the Department of History, Archeology And Political Studies has been in the profession since 1989.

Dr Kisiangani who considers himself a razor-sharp intellect would date in campus but lose because of his funny pronunciation of words that would scare away girls.
In the run-up to the 2022 general elections, he joined President William Ruto's UDA think tank team.
The professional think tanks included former Central Bank Governor Prof Njuguna Ndung'u, economist Dr David Ndii, former Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir, who is an ICT expert, and Prof Larry Gumbe, a former ally of ODM leader Raila Odinga.
