The operations in Meru county are set to sail smoothly should Governor Kawira Mwangaza's latest directive be implemented.

Mwangaza announced that the malicious and unnecessary measures put in place in the last administration to inconvenience county administrators would be reversed.

Speaking on Thursday, November 3, Mwangaza urged county officials to bury the hatchet and forge forward to serve Meru residents.

"On the transfers that had been done maliciously to punish some administrators, I ordered immediate reversal and that all the administrators should serve from their locality," she shared.

The county boss also emphasised that her administration is focused on working with all members despite their political affiliations.

"Action and perseverance is the game changer in my leadership. Today in a meeting with our Government administrators, I made a raft of measures which will enhance quality service delivery to you, my people," she added.

Further, she assured that no one would be victimised as all the hostilities were behind them.

She was quick to invite all county officials and Meru residents to freely visit the Meru County Governor's residence as her doors were open.

"Mko karibu tena na tena twedeni mashinani sasa (You are all welcome, let's go the rural areas)," Mwangaza announced.

Mwangaza also declared that the county administrators will receive courses to understand the execution of county duties.

There will also be adequate facilitation to ensure they are able to move quickly within their areas of duty.

Mwangaza and MCAs have locked horns over the county's leadership, with a voter petitioning the assembly to institute an impeachment process.

The embattled governor has however stood her ground vowing not to be cowed by lawmakers, who she accused of blackmail.
