Kenya Power and Lighting Company(KPLC) announced job vacancies on Friday, November 11 and how to apply for the positions.
The state agency announced that the positions were available for technicians and craftsmen.
"Are you a qualified Craftsman or Technician? We invite you to submit your application to our databank.
"Shortlisted applicants will form the basis for future recruitment or further training, as the case may be, prior to placement," the advertisement stated.
Qualifications for the positions are;
Technicians
All applicants should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with (Power Option, Electronics Option or Telecommunications Option) offered by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) or other equivalent qualifications from recognised Institutions.
Other applicants who will be considered even without a diploma in Electrical Engineering are those with Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering from KNEC or other equivalent qualifications.
Craftsmen
Those applying for this position should possess Craft Electrical Installation Certificate from KNEC or Power Distribution Line (NITA) and should have undertaken a three-year course.
The advertisement further added that applicants with Craft Mechanical Certificate from KNEC or other equivalent qualifications could also be considered.
KPLC emphasized that preference would be given to those who attained credit and above and possess information technology skills.

Kenyans interested in the positions advertised were advised to submit their applications online by visiting the KPLC website www(dot)kplc(dot)co(dot)ke.
Applicants should also attach detailed Curriculum Vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates and other testimonials.
KPLC noted that the documents should be genuine as they would be vetted and used during recruitment.
"Please note that we may use this information to conduct background verification during recruitment.
"Quote the title of the position you are applying for and include your mobile telephone contact, email addresses and names and addresses of three referees," the advertisement stated.
Applicants were advised to submit their application before Friday, December 2, 2022.
Further information indicated that a certificate of good conduct is not necessary during the application period.
"Only candidates offered employment shall be expected to present a Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations," KPLC emphasized.
