Former Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi predicted the impeachment of the current governor Kawira Mwangaza long before the she was elected into office.

According to the details of Murungi's political book titled Beyond Politics: A Conversation With kiraitu Murungi, the former Governor predicted that Mwangaza would be impeached from office by the MCAs.

"Kawira has no concrete political agenda, and no vision for Meru," Murungi revealed in the book that was released in July 2022.

Kiraitu described the former Meru Woman Representative in his book as a cunning businesswoman who lacked vision.

"As they say, you can fool some people for some time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time," Murungi declared in the book.

The former Governor did not hold back his punches as he went all in on Mwangaza whom he was vying against for the Meru Governor seat in the August 9 elections.

Murungi and Mwangaza have been at loggerheads since after the latter declared her bid to succeed him in the 2022 General elections.

The two traded barbs to prove political supremacy and gain momentum ahead of the August 9 polls.

This is not the first time Kiraitu's book has drawn controversy in the public eye considering that shortly after it was released, the then East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) member Mpuru Aburi went to court demanding the removal of his name from the book.

Aburi then argued that Kiraitu's actions posed political damage to his name.

Murungi lost to Mwangaza who was vying on an independent ticket in the August 9 elections and is currently serving as a Commissioner at the Kenya Law Reform.

Murungi was defending the seat under the Azimio La Umoja coalition.
