Two Kenyan luxury lodges were among the ten most popular African luxury safari lodges for centi-millionaires.

This is according to the New World Wealth January ranking of the top holiday destinations in Africa for centi-millionaires in 2023, released on Wednesday, January 4.

Cottar's 1920s Camp and andBeyond Bateleur Camp appeared in position nine and ten, respectively, on the list.

Cotter's 1920s Camp is located on its own private conservancy and is owned and run by Calvin and Louise Cottar, who established it in the 1990s.

The luxurious camp is designed in an authentic 1920s style, follows the iconic Out of Africa style, and has access to a remote part of the Maasai Mara.

A night at this luxurious establishment will set you back between Ksh80,000 and Ksh155,000 per person sharing and between Ksh90,000 and Ksh186,000 for single rooms.

andBeyond Bateleur Camp, on the other hand, is an intimate, full-service tented safari camp nestled in the far reaches of Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve.

The establishment comprises two intimate camps of nine Luxury Tents each and a Luxury Family Tent.

Each tent has its own private butler and housekeeper, reflecting the ambience and glamour of Kenyan explorers of old.

Spending a night here will set you back between Ksh355,000 per adult sharing and Ksh366,000 for solo travellers.

The two camps are located within the vast Masai Mara, one of the top tourist destinations in the world.

According to the New World Wealth, centi-millionaires have net investable assets (wealth) of Ksh12.36 billion ($100 million) or more.

There are currently 25,490 centi-millionaires worldwide, and 38% live in the United States.

Kenya currently has about 15 centi-millionares, 12 of them being from Nairobi alone, according to the 2022 Africa Wealth Report by the New World Wealth.
