Kuria toured Uganda to deliver President William Ruto's message to Museveni.

"In particular, I thanked President Museveni for allowing limited exportation of iron ore to Kenya on special consideration.

"Kenya and Uganda will also set up a joint mechanism to conduct a SWOT analysis of the two countries' agricultural, manufacturing and service potential with a view to joint supply chain planning," Kuria disclosed.

On his part, Museveni indicated that eggs would be exported to Kenya, among other animal products.

"Received Moses Kuria, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry, who called me at Nakasero State Lodge this afternoon and delivered a message from Ruto.

"I thank Ruto for opening the market for our milk, eggs, and chicken, among others," Museveni stated.

Museveni's revelation of the egg deal came amidst reports of egg shortage in the country that has seen the prices of eggs rise in the last six months.

In most shops across the country, one egg retails for Ksh15 as farmers lament the high cost of animal feeds.

Consequently, the increase in prices saw the famous mayai pasua rise from Ksh25 to Ksh30 in some parts of the country.
