A popular political show, Rikiratha that airs every morning on Kameme TV took a different turn after the guests traded barbs on air.

The live interview on Tuesday, January 31, hosted by Maina Kihumo saw former Bahati Member of Parliament, Kimani Ngunjiri, and former Sports Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS), Zack Kinuthia as the day's guests.

As they were winding up their conversation, tempers flared before the host ended the interview unceremoniously.

“I am being informed that the mics are off, we cannot continue because we have had a bitter ending. If we continue, the end will not be pleasing,” the presenter announced amidst words of chaos.

The chaos ensued after Ngunjiri condemned Azimio la UMoja Coalition rallies, stating that they were causing massive losses to the country.

“These people who attend the rallies rob ladies of their handbags and loot businesses," Ngunjiri claimed.

His remarks were not welcomed by Kinuthia who stated that it was wrong making such statements as they were profiling Azimio leader Raila Odinga as a bad person while in reality, he was leading peaceful rallies.

“What you are seeing these people saying is not new.  They are now angry because nothing is working. Electricity cost has gone up and the cost of living, in general, has also gone up.

I see now you have started bringing former president Uhuru Kenyatta into the picture while he is just quiet, let us not pretend that he is hated because he is loved,” Kinuthia noted as Ngunjiri immediately interrupted.

The former Sports CAS, urged president William Ruto to protect Uhuru from insults and being accused falsely.

“Why are you attacking the former head of state? Did you ever hear the late Mwai Kibaki insulting the late Daniel Moi?” he questioned.

Ex-Bahati lawmaker immediately asked Kinuthia to be quiet as he also was on the front line in criticizing the current government of Kenya Kwanza.

Kenya Kwanza politicians accused Uhuru of sponsoring Azimio protests to sabotage Ruto's revenue plan.

A section of Mt Kenya Senators demanded a probe into Uhuru's businesses for the last 10 years over tax evasion claims.
