The Mt Kenya University graduate updated her social media profiles indicating that she was attached to the office of the Deputy President.

Miano holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media and Communications from the Thika-based institution.

She rose to fame in 2018 after being slapped by the then Mathira Member of Parliament (MP) Rigathi Gachagua's driver and three other people while working as an election observer

In a video uploaded online by Samuel Maina in 2018, Miano explained what ensued before she was slapped by her attacker, who was arrested and later released on bail.

She narrated how she went to the Ndunduini polling station after receiving complaints of voter bribery before her attacker accosted her while listening to Gachagua, who was addressing the Returning Officer and IEBC staff.

“When I went there, I don’t know what got over him. He started attacking me verbally and he said ‘If these people are not from Ruguru, they should be evicted forcefully,’ I told him, ‘I have a right to be here,’ then his driver and three other guys attacked me,” Miano revealed in the video.

Several leaders condemned the incident, including Peter Weru (former Mathira MP), Ngunjiri Wambugu (former Nyeri Town MP), Priscilla Nyokabi (former Nyeri Women Rep), and the-then Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.

However, Gachagua did not issue any statement regarding the incident but the latest appointment will go down as his way of reaching out to the blogger.

The digital strategist and Public Relations practitioner who describes herself as young and ambitious will now be tasked with leading the digital team at her once adversary's office.
