Two children teased President William Ruto, on Thursday, March 23 about his age during an interview on the Ramadhan festivity at State House.
At the end of the interview, Ruto was strolling with the duo identified as Amira and Jamil, around the State House Garden when the question was fronted.
Cautious of his answer, the Head of State asked the young girl, Amira, to take a guess.
She responded by approximating that Ruto was 78 years old, prompting the Head of State and Jamil to laugh.
"Ehhhhh! hahaha. You have made me too old. I am 56 years heading to be 57 years. Will you pass my regards to your parents?" Ruto posed.
The President hosted the two children for a video shoot where he wished Muslims across the country a happy Ramadhan Kareem.
During the interview, Ruto interacted with the duo on the importance of Ramadhan, as they tested his knowledge of Islam.
Ruto explained that despite being a staunch Christian, he was also interested in discovering other religions.
"As a Christian, I also take to understand other religions and events in the Quran. In the Quran, there are similar events in the Bible, especially on the subject matter of fasting," he explained.
Further, Ruto asked the kids to remember him during the Ramadhan period.
"Fasting is an act of deep personal worship through which Muslims seek deeper reflection with the Almighty God. I ask you to pray for our nation as you increase your devotion to Allah," the President stated.
Ramadhan celebrations commenced on March 23 and are expected to last for the next 30 days.
