Kenyan Camp Charging Ksh 239K Per Night Beloved by African Millionaires

Located in the Masai Mara, & Beyond Bateleur Camp was listed among the top ten most preferred luxury lodges by the wealthy in the recent Wealth Report 2023 by Henley & Partners released on Tuesday, March 28.

The camp offers a wide range of activities for its visitors including migration game drives, wildlife adventure, cultural interaction, bush walks adventure and hot air ballooning among others.

It is comprised of just two intimate camps of nine Luxury Tents each and a Luxury Family Tent; each with its own private butler and housekeeper reflects the ambiance and glamour of Kenyan explorers of old.

Tourists at the pristine get to enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience of dining under the sky. The camp managers set dining areas decorated with Masai shukas and lit with lamps.

For those who chose the luxury tent, they will part with between Ksh114,790 (USD870) and Ksh239,480 (USD) per person per night depending on the time of the year.

This luxury tent has unique handcrafted artifacts, fine antiques, and Chesterfield sofas among other exquisite interiors.

Additionally, each tent has a large private deck with a comfortable day bed overlooking the plains of the Masai Mara.

Those who opt for the luxury family tent will part with between Ksh401,940 (USD3,045) and Ksh838,860 (USD6,355) per family tent per night depending on the period.

This tent comprises a twin and double room with an adjoining interior corridor and private guest area. Notably, the luxury family tent can accommodate two adults and two children. 

Tourists are urged to take note of the different activities excluded from the above rates.

Other lodges listed as the most preferred by wealthy Africans were Singita Ebony lodge (South Africa), Londolozi (South Africa), Ones & Only Nyungwe House (Rwanda), Singita Sabora Tented Camp (Tanzania), Sanctuary Chief's Camp (Botswana), Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp (Uganda), Xigeria Safari Lodge (Botswana), Wilderness Damaraland Camp (Namibia) and Cottars 1920s Camp (Kenya).
