Homeboyz Radio Presenter Lands New Role in South Africa

Homeboyz Radio presenter Lotan Salapei, on Tuesday, April 4, announced that he was officially part of SuperSport TV, a South African-based giant.

The presenter, who co-hosts alongside Kerry Martin, announced that he had joined the All Access Crew Show.

According to the veteran radio host, the show will revolve around sports news and features.

"I am so excited to announce that I am officially part of the SuperSport TV All Access Crew," Lotan stated.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Lotan stated that the new role would entail giving sports fans insights into what happens behind the scenes in various show productions.

Besides giving production insights, Lotan stated that he will be tasked with travelling to various sports camps, meeting players and telling their stories, which do not make it past the changing rooms.

Lotan and other presenters on All Access Crew will also feature sports icon and their influence on various societies.

"The show will basically cover what happens behind the scenes. It will also involve a lot of traveling to cover what happens in the changing rooms and teams training grounds," Lotan told Kenyans.co.ke.

"In March, I travelled to Arsenal training camp in London where I interacted with several players, including their midfielder Thomas Partey. I was able to inform the viewers what happens behind the scenes," he added.

Explaining his role and assignment further, Lotan revealed he was looking forward to covering the women's world cup, African Cup of Nations and other global competitions.

"I look forward to learning more through this new experience as I travel around the world, including covering African Cup of Nations," Lotan insisted.

Before landing the role, Lotan was also a presenter at KISS TV, which was shut down due to financial constraints.

In a previous interview, Lotan revealed that he quit a well-paying job in Rwanda to start his media career in Kenya. In Rwanda, he worked for a humanitarian organisation.

"I always wanted to be in media and in December 2017, I quit my job, returned to Kenya in 2018, and started finding a way to be on air. Homeboyz took a chance on me, and I’m here," Lotan stated in a past interview.
