Equally, Kenya Kwanza Bi-partisan urged Raila and his team to consider the good gesture and return to the negotiation table.

Senator Okenyuri observed that nothing was too difficult for the Bi-partisan team to discuss and agree on.

"As Kenya Kwanza, we are committed to seeing the Bipartisan talks through and walking the talk on the true meaning of our Coalition name, Kenya Kwanza (Kenya First).

"We are looking forward to AZIMIO coming back to the table with clean hands and reciprocating this demonstrated commitment to the talks by undertake to stay out of streets all way and stick to the table for meaning candid talks that will resolve all outstanding issues and take our beloved country forward," Senator Okenyuri stated.

The Kenya Kwanza leaders welcomed media reports that Azimio la Umoja coalition had agreed to resume talks but with a single condition, which President William Ruto's wing had gladly met.

In the statement, Ichung'wah also appreciated the conciliatory route taken by their Azimio la Umoja counterparts, and explained that they were ready for mutually beneficial engagement.

"As we have always stated, we are willing to bend backward for the sake of the progress of the country, national unity, and stability of the nation," Ichung'wah stated.

Ichung'wah revealed that the coalition's top leadership had a conversation with him and he agreed in the greater interest of the county to recuse himself from the bi-partisan committee.

Kenyans.co.ke reached to leaders within Azimio la Umoja coalition but the could neither confirm nor deny reports that the planned mass action had been called off.

"We will issue a statement on the matter. Any other communication which does not originate from Azimio la Umoja leadership is not therefore legitimate," stated one of the coalition leaders.

On Tuesday, May 1, Raila Odinga announced that their bi-weekly protests would continue on Thursday, May 4, after a day's break.

"At the break of dawn, police got stations in all parts of Nairobi Metropolis and city centre to prevent us from proceeding with our peaceful protests as planned. Unfortunately, because of the mayhem, we were not able to present the petitions to the four offices.

"Despite these developments, we are energised that Kenyans are determined to claim their country. We march on. Tomorrow we take a break to strategise and recharge. Our protests will resume on Thursday, May 4. Same meeting, same office and same people," Narc Kenya Leader Martha Karua stated.
