"Avoid Outering Road if Possible. From Donholm to Taj Mall Pipeline."

"From Donholm to Taj Mall has been cut off. Crazy traffic. A passenger was reportedly killed around the Kware area in an incident involving an Embassava matatu. Rowdy youth looting. Police present," an eyewitness stated.

Efforts by Kenyans.co.ke to contact Embassava Sacco were fruitless as they did not pick up our calls or responded to texts.

The incident mirrors a similar situation on March 12, 2023, where a passenger was thrown off a speeding bus along Thika Superhighway. The victim, however, survived to tell the harrowing ordeal.

Following the incident, motorists called for urgent reforms across the matatu sector.

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), on May 8, 2023, launched a nationwide crackdown on motor vehicles violating traffic laws and regulations.

NTSA officers mounted roadblocks along various highways, prompting motorists to provide official documents for scrutiny and authentication.
