Media personality Chito Ndhlovu was on Sunday, May 21, unveiled as comedian Oga Obinna's replacement on Kiss FM's Morning Show, hosting alongside Sheila Kwamboka, better known as Kwambox.

In an interview, Ndhlovu confirmed the news, expressing excitement over his new role at Radio Africa Group.

Further, he indicated that the management reached out to him about the details of his new assignment and the set expectations for the station's morning show.

"They called me on one random morning and asked for a meeting where we had a back and forth on the matter. It was about to when I should start and the plans for the show. I would be lying if I said it wasn't a dream of mine to host the breakfast show. So, it's exciting," he indicated.

The media personality noted that his chemistry with Kwambox would resonate within the show as they had built up a working relationship since the latter joined the company. The duo will be hosting the show from 6:00 am to 10:00 am every weekday.

"I'm the one who oriented Kwambox at Kiss FM when she first joined. So, we have been talking for a while and wait and see what we have planned for the show," he stated.

The news came three days after Ndhlovu had announced his departure from Kiss FM's Drive Show after two years with suspicion swirling that the radio presenter had called it quits at Lions Place.

"The last two years hosting this show Kiss 100 has been a dream come true. We have shared laughter, tears, pain and lots of joy together. Doing this with Cyd Wambui has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life.

"As I move to something new, I am reminded that he who has begun a good work in you and is able to see it to fruition. Never forget, silence is golden, speech is silver and I am The Golden Voice, " he stated on May 15, 2023.

Prior to working at Kiss FM, Ndhlovu worked at K24 TV as a TV presenter - hosting Arena 254 show for two years.

His media career began in April 2013 when he worked at One FM as a radio presenter before jumping ship to Nation Media Group in November 2014. He has amassed close to ten years of experience in the media industry.

Previously, Obinna parted ways with Radio Africa Group on Tuesday, April 25 - a year after he joined the Waiyaki Way-based media house.

At the time, the comedian indicated that he had cleared with the company and would no longer appear on Kiss FM's morning show. He, however, described it as a great opportunity during the one-year stint.

"It was beautiful. I have achieved my dream, I have done everything I wanted to do. So, everything I do or achieve from now is extra," he indicated.

While unveiling his next move, he pointed out that he would resume content creation and concentrate on other personal matters.

"I have worked in organisations where they did not care about their employees. But here, I dressed the way I wanted and did my own thing.

"If I get another opportunity on radio, I will go back there and do any show whether breakfast or drive. I will do it for the money. It used to be for the love, but we can't feed our children with love, it is for the money," he stated.

Previously, Lang'ata MP Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang'o worked at the station alongside media personality Kamene Goro who also quit on January 19, 2023. Jalango'o exited the media industry to pursue politics.
