The National Research Fund (NRF) Kenya in liaison with Canada's International Development Research Centre (DRC) on Tuesday, May 23, called upon interested Kenyans to submit concept papers for a chance to win a Ksh15 million grant for 18 months.
Concept notes presented should have the potential to provide solutions to improve income generation, nutrition, and access to food for disadvantaged populations, promote sustainable agriculture and food systems, and ensure the competitiveness of Kenyan agricultural products.
Furthermore, Kenyans were expected to submit notes on upscaling of health research projects to mobilise resources for research and development while maximising the available resources to achieve the best healthcare outcomes.
"This national call will provide previously funded researchers and innovators in the health sector with the tools needed to commercialize their research results and connect with potential customers and investors," read part of the statement.
The concept paper must be timely, with rapid implementation timelines to facilitate the generation of valuable outcomes.
