Joho Steps Out in Ksh30 Million Bentley [PHOTOS]

Former Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Saturday, June 10, made a rare public appearance when he attended the Boyz II Men concert at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi. 

In a video that made rounds online, vehicle enthusiasts could not help but notice the British machine he stepped out of. 

The gold-plated Bentley Mulsanne turned heads during his entrance to the concert. The machine's retail price is estimated at Ksh30 million. 

Prompted about the concert, the politician heaped lots of praise on the performances and was particularly impressed with the event organisers respecting the audience's time.

"(The show) was great and amazing over the fact that the show ended at 10:00 pm so we can go home early. I liked all the Boyz II Men songs but 'End of the Road' is quite something," he stated before boarding the sleek vehicle.

Further, the former governor was flanked by tight security who monitored his every move.

Towering at a height of 1.52 metres, the state-of-the-art ride has a length of 5.57 metres, a width of 2.21 metres and a wheelbase of 3.26 metres. 

The vehicle offers ample head and legroom for up to five passengers.

The interior features include hand-stitched leather, polished wood, and chrome accents and consist of a serene cabin. 

The vehicle also boasts a navigation system, an exquisite sound system and a panoramic sunroof.

Engine and Fuel

Known for its luxury, the car is powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 512 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque.

Further, it is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that can accelerate from 0 to 96.6 kilometres per hour in 5.1 seconds. Joho's machine boasts a top speed of 300 Km/ hr.

Regarded as a favourite among high-profile individuals, the vehicle was a flagship model of the Bentley lineup known for its powerful engine, smooth ride and powerful engine. 

After 11 years, Bentley Motors announced that they discontinued the model in 2020 after distributing over 7,300 makes worldwide.
