Radio Africa, on Tuesday, June 13, was forced to respond to Kenyans after being accused of offering a poor sound system during the Boyz II Men concert.

The highly anticipated Yetu Festival, held on Saturday, June 10, was marred by a lackluster sound system and a malfunctioning screen, leaving a huge section of the attendees disappointed.

The media organisation shouldered the blame for not meeting the expectations of revellers and promised a better experience in future events

“To concert goers, we value your feedback and want you to know that we actively listen to your concerns on social media and other channels.

“We would like to address the concerns and frustrations expressed, especially regarding the sound quality in the general arena at our recent concert and the other concerns raised,” Radio Africa quipped.

The media group also took ownership of the shortcomings and revealed the company’s framework to ensure the flaws are not witnessed again

“We sincerely apologise for falling short of your expectations regarding the sound quality and layout in the general arena.

“Our team has been diligently working to investigate the root causes of the sound issues and finding solutions to prevent their recurrence in the future,” the organisation stated concerning future Yetu Festival events.

It was reported that the team had engaged experienced sound engineers and technical experts to analyse the situation thoroughly.

Kenyans took to social media to air their disappointment concerning the event, remarking that it did not live up to its billing.

The concert saw revellers charged Ksh8,000 for regular tickets, which they remarked should have provided them with a top-notch festival experience.

While the Saturday, June 10, concert is water under the bridge, Radio Africa implored fans to attend the 2024 edition, promising a magical encounter.

“Our commitment to providing you with outstanding musical experiences remains steadfast and clear; dreaming big and creating unimaginable shows in our country,” the event organisers made a solemn promise.
