Senate Speaker, Amason Kingi, kicked out Samson Cherargei, Nandi Senator, out of the House after accusing him of disorderly conduct.

Cherargei was suspended from attending the remainder of the Tuesday sessions, where senators were discussing the formation and composition of the National Dialogue team headed by Kimani Ichung'wah, National Assembly Leader of the Majority and Kalonzo Musyoka, Wiper's part leader and Azimio co-principal.

Tensions heightened in Senate, after Cherargei defied an order by Kingi, directing him to take his seat. This was after Stewart Madzayo, Kilifi Senator, referred to him as a kid during a heated debate.

In his defence, Cherargei demanded a retraction, arguing that he was deeply aggrieved by what he argued was an intentionally spewed vitriol. He thus remained standing contrary to Kingi's directive.

Kingi had assured the Senator that he would address his concern, but his pleas fell on deaf ears.

"Senator Cherargei, take your seat, or I will rule you out of order and kick you out. I will address your concerns," the Speaker warned.

"Sergent at Arms use the necessary force to get the Senator out of the chambers," Speaker Kingi ordered after Cherargei failed to take his seat.

Following the orders by the Speaker, Cherargei was escorted out of the chambers by three sergeants at arm

Thereafter, Kingi ordered Senator Madzayo to withdraw his statements and apologise to the Senators for using unparliamentary language.

"Mr. Speaker I am sorry for the terms I used on Senator Cherargei. I used the terms unintentionally and withdrew them," Madzayo apologised.

Following the disruption of the sitting, the Senators resumed debate and approved the formation of the dialogue committee

Kingi approved the formation of the 10-member committee, with officials equally drawn from the opposition and government. These include National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi (ODM), DAP Party Leader Eugene Wamalwa, Nyamira Senator Okon'go Omogeni (ODM) and Malindi MP Amina Mnyazi (ODM) representing Azimio.

Kenya Kwanza, the ruling coalition, settled on Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot (UDA), Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire (UDA), EALA MP Hassan Omar (UDA) and Bungoma Woman Representative Catherine Wambilianga (FORD-K).

The committee was officially approved via Parliament to protect its legality from being challenged in court.
