The Kenya Meteorological Department has listed various areas in the country to experience heavy rainfall for seven days between October 31 and November 6.
Kenya Met, on Tuesday, revealed that the listed areas will also experience storms.
According to the forecast, during the next seven days, some areas will experience rainfall of up to 120mm
Areas listed include those in the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, South-eastern lowlands, the coast, north-western and north-eastern Kenya.
Some of the counties listed include Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Kiambu, Embu, Makueni, Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Kitui, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu, Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera.
Others are Marsabit, Samburu, West Pokot, Trans Nzoia, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Kericho, Bungoma, Kakamega, Vihiga, Homa Bay, Kisii, and Migori.
On the other hand, Nairobi will receive average rainfall of about 20-50mm over the next week.
Turkana, Narok, Nakuru, and Kajiado counties will receive a rainfall of between 10-20mm.
Since the start of October, the country has been experiencing heavy rainfall, with specific regions receiving even higher amounts.
"Rainfall persisted across the nation, with isolated storms in counties like Kitui, Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Isiolo, Meru, and Marsabit," read a statement from the department.
Within the last seven days, Meru Meteorological Station recorded the highest seven-day rainfall total at 197.6mm.
Earlier, the department had issued a warning on possible El Nino rainfall across the country. However, President William Ruto dismissed the claims, adding that the country will experience average rainfall.
