Transport Logistics company DB Schenker has issued a traffic advisory over the scheduled transportation of a plane in Nairobi.

In a notice issued on Friday, the company revealed that the plane will be transported from the KQ headquarters in Embakasi to the Pride Centre Kenya Airways college, off Airport Road.

The transportation will take place on Sunday, November 5.

According to Schenker, the wide load will be transported through the Kenya Airways Head Quarter - Police Barracks - Roundabout- Wrongside Upto Naivas through to Coca-Cola Gate - Kenya Airways Pride Centre route.

From the routing map, Airport North Road will be the most affected by the planned transportation.

On the other hand, the logistics company categorised the transportation of the plane as an abnormally wide load.

However, the specific details on the size of the plane were not detailed.

Therefore, motorists planning on using the road were advised to exercise great caution when using the route.

Motorists were also asked to keep their distance should they encounter the huge truck that will be transporting the plane.

Those who have options of using alternative routes were also encouraged to consider the same given that such transportation leads to delays and traffic snarl-ups.

This is mostly witnessed when the trucks have to negotiate sharp corners or go around a roundabout.

Notably, the scheduled Sunday transportation involves a roundabout.
