A woman reportedly died by suicide on Sunday evening after jumping off a highrise apartment in Westlands.
According to reports, the young lady came home, parked her car walked to the eighth floor of the building before jumping off.
Police revealed that the woman left behind a note but the contents were not immediately revealed.
Her lifeless body was found in a nearby farm adjacent to the building and was taken to the mortuary.
Police are investigating all probable causes of her death and retracing her last steps.
Also, police are investigating another incident where a man fell while on duty in Nairobi.
The deceased severely injured his head and eventually lost his life while undergoing treatment at Mama Lucy Hospital.
Cases of suicide are on the rise as the mental health crisis worsens amid high cost of living.
A report conducted by the World Bank in 2021 revealed that the suicide rates in Kenya stood at 6.1 per cent in every 100,000.
According to the report, men are the most affected at 9.1 per cent in every 100,000 men reported.
