Police officers have denied receiving reports of a man who was allegedly abducted near Thika Road Mall (TRM) along the Thika Superhighway.

This is despite a video shared widely on Tuesday morning, capturing the man desperately pleading for help as he was forcibly ushered into a vehicle in broad daylight.

Kasarani OCPD, Anthony Mbogo, told Kenyans.co.ke that a missing person report was yet to be filed at his station, and neither had detectives shared intel of the same.

"No, I have not heard of a report of such kind, “stated Mbogo, who declined to divulge much information regarding the video.

The alarming scene unfolded outside a health facility puzzling both passers-by and area traders. In the video, one of the abductors in civilian clothing was captured adjusting his gun secured at a holster locked around his waist.

The armed man, who appeared to be issuing commands, shoved the distressed individual into the black Noah that was parked by the roadside.

A back and forth then ensured between him and the victim as a crowd congregated to witness the incident unfold.

After successfully tucking the victim into the car, the man, who was also the driver, firmly shut the door before speeding off.

Medical practitioners outside the hospital were left watching in shock, unable to intervene and rescue the man. Police are yet to release a report on the incident.

The incident occurred nearly a week after Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja's aide, Osman Khalif Abdi, was abducted in broad daylight on November 11, 2023.

Khalif, former south C ward MCA was allegedly abducted by five unknown people as his wife allegedly watched in vain.

Addressing the media, 24 hours after the incident at Parklands Police Station, his younger brother Yasin Khalif stated that they are yet to receive information from the authorities. His whereabouts are still unknown to date.
