Drama ensued at a hotel in Mombasa after a group of men was captured by CCTV cameras breaking into the facility and attacking guests and employees.

The whole episode started when several guests were captured arriving at the hotel in private cars.

As depicted in the footage, the men tried to cut the locks at the gate with their motives unclear. It was at this point that a crowd started gathering outside with locals recording the events on their mobile phones.

After a few tense minutes, a group of locals outside the hotel began hurling stones inside the building, prompting security personnel to hastily scamper for safety. The situation escalated as some young men went back to the streets to collect more stones, intensifying the confrontation.

The conflict transformed into chaotic running battles between the agitated crowd outside and the alarmed staff within the hotel premises.

In a desperate attempt to fortify their position, hotel employees attempted to barricade the entrance gate with a vehicle.

However, the determined crowd overwhelmed them and flooded into the facility.

Once inside, the crowd, armed with logs, pursued the frightened employees throughout the expansive hotel.

During the chaos, the crowd singled out one employee, attacking and beating him as he lay defenseless on the ground, having tripped during the chaos.

Meanwhile, other staff members managed to find refuge indoors while the unruly men roamed freely throughout the compound.

Another employee was forcefully dragged outside by the crowd, further escalating the tense situation.

The exact cause of the altercation between the two groups remained unclear.

Kenyans.co.ke reached out to the hotel's management but did not get a response by the time of publishing this article.
