The National Construction Authority (NCA), a State Corporation, on Tuesday, January 23, revealed that it was floating a tender for the provision of taxi and car hire services.

Successful bidders will be mandated with supplying the government agency with vehicles for its day-to-day activities.

The Corporation is mandated with the responsibility of overseeing the construction industry and coordinating its development

In a national open tender notice, the Authority invited sealed bids from eligible candidates with February 1, 2024, as the closing date for the submission.

“Tender document with detailed information and instructions can be viewed and downloaded from the Authority's website; www.nca.go.ke, and the Public Procurement Information portal, www.tenders.go.ke, free of charge,” NCA stated.

Additionally, interested Kenyans can also bid for the Supply of Fuel and Lubricants For NCA Vehicles using the Fuel Card System.

A fuel card also known as a fleet card is used for payment of products and services in petrol stations including fuel and lubricants.

It is the most preferred method of paying for petrol station services by government agencies as it gives a detailed account of all the sales made towards a specific vehicle.

Also to avoid misuse of public resources, the National Construction Authority will set a limit on how much each car can spend in a day using the fleet card.

The NCA further announced that it was seeking interested bidders for the provision of Group Personal Accident and Work Injury Benefit Cover for NCA staff as well as the provision of Group Life Cover.

Still, on the health welfare of the NCA staff, bidders were also encouraged to submit a duly filled tender document for the provision of medical insurance coverage.

Lastly, NCA announced that it was looking for interested applicants to bid for the provision of Annual Resource Planning (ERP) System support.
